I have been playing Minecraft for over a decade, and have had the pleasure of attending Minecon back when they did live events. My daughter and I were volunteers for the 2016 Minecon in Anaheim CA and had a blast! 

These days I play alone, mostly enjoying building stuff and the occasional monster hunt.  Yeah, I play in survivor but I mostly treat it like a "modified creative" world. In other words, I may choose to give myself supplies, rather than "manufacturing" them and I like using command blocks (gotta switch to Creative to set 'em up) to make teleporters to all my places. 

I've played through the whole game, conquered the dragon, explored the End and also the Nether, and so now that I've had the experience of playing the game and beating the bosses from back before the caves got deeper, I feel like it's just fine to focus mostly on building and exploring.
