I've always loved working with paint and paper. Not having the patience to spend the necessary time drawing or painting realistic images, I've found that what I truly enjoy, is manipulating strips of painted paper and weaving or otherwise assembling them into whimsical little sculptures that can be hung as ornaments, worn as jewelry, or used to adorn your home, either seasonally or year round. Below are some photos of items I've created. Starting in Jauary 2026, these will be availabel in my shop, linked here.

Woven Acorns
Here's an acorn for your favorite squirrel! I've got some ideas for improving on this idea, and may even work out a way to make eensy beensy ones to make into dangly earrings.

Pumpkin
These free standing pumpkins were quite a challenge, not so much for the orange bits, but moreso to figure out how to make a leaf that mimics the ones in real life. Not pictured, but very similar are apples that I make. The leaves are more apple - like, of course!

Shamrocks
These shamrocks were inspired when I had a pile of Valentines colord little hearts, and 3 of them sort of arranged themselves like a shamrock. Fun!

Daffodils/Narcissus
These are more stylized than a lot of what I make. I studied quite a few photos and part of the challenge was deciding which of the many types of narcissus I felt would be most interesting.
My Paper & Resin Crafts

Daisy
These are less woven, but there's something to be said about the repition in making the petals. Figuring out what to use for the centers was also a challenge, but I have all kinds of rhinestones, glitter and paper bits to experiment with.

Little Hearts
I adapted this deisgn from a decoration that I bought at the NC State Fair many years ago. It was woven with oak splits, and I enjoyed having it hanging in a window until it got very dry and delicate and broke during one of our moves. By then I had developed a way to make these in a number of sizes, and these are the smallest.
